Home/Services/Brand & Identity/Book Self-Publishing
You wrote the book. That was the hard part. Now it needs a cover people pick up, pages that are a pleasure to read and the unglamorous details that get it printed and listed. We handle all of it, so your story arrives looking like it came from a real publisher.
The ProofreaderPlaster, has read it twice
Novels, children’s books, memoirs and family histories, in hardcover, paperback and eBook.
People absolutely judge a book by its cover. They also judge it by its margins, its fonts and whether the spine text is upside down.
Your cover has one job: get picked up (or clicked). We design front, spine and back as one piece, with a title that reads from across a room and a thumbnail that still works at the size of a postage stamp on Amazon.
Good interior layout is invisible. Comfortable margins, readable type, chapter openers with a little personality and photos placed where they help the story. We set every page so the reading is easy and the book feels finished, not “printed at home.”
Many of our books are family histories: grandparents’ stories, old letters and photographs that deserve better than a shoebox. We restore and place those photos, keep the storyteller’s voice and design heirloom hardcovers families pass down.
ISBNs, barcodes, trim sizes, bleed, spine-width math, KDP and IngramSpark uploads, proof copies. These are the details that stall most self-published books. We handle them so you can focus on the launch party.
Let’s get your book out of the drawer and onto the shelf.
Tell us the genre, the page count and how you want it to feel in someone’s hands.

Let’s talk
quoted per book
Printing is billed by the printer or platform. Photo restoration, illustration and editing can be added.
Genre, audience, trim size, budget and how you want to publish.
Concepts first, because the cover sets the tone for everything inside.
Typography, photos and chapter design, reviewed as full spreads.
Files uploaded, proofs checked, and your book is ready to order.
If you want to be listed as the publisher and sell everywhere, yes. We’ll walk you through buying one (or a block of ten) and set up the barcode.
Yes. We scan, restore and color-correct old photographs, then place and caption them throughout the book.
Both. Family histories are often printed as hardcover heirlooms; novels and guides usually start with paperback and eBook.
We focus on design and production. If your manuscript needs editing or proofreading, we’re happy to recommend editors.
Book a free consultation. Bring the big idea, the messy brief or the “would it be crazy if…”. We’ll bring the questions, and probably a few good answers.
